Natural gas processing plants are being built around the Marcellus and Utica Shales, and Carroll County may be one of the next places to see one.
According to Akron Beacon Journal, Advanced Power Services’ Carroll County Energy LLC intends to build a power plant north of Carrollton that could power 700,000 houses.
Another company, Terra-Gen Power LLC, plans to build another facility north of Carrollton that would take natural gas from Dominion pipelines and move electricity to the grid by way of First Energy Co. lines.
