US Army Corps of Engineers reissues permit to Mountain Valley Pipeline

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reissued a stream crossing permit that the stalled $5.7 billion Mountain Valley Pipeline needs to finish construction, according to Kallanish Energy.
The Mountain Valley Pipeline received three permits total from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The permits will allow the natural gas pipeline to cross wetlands and nearly 1,000 streams in West Virginia and Virginia.
The project is still awaiting a permit from the U.S. Forest Service to cross a section of the Jefferson National Forest in western Virginia before pipeline construction can resume.
