At Cheniere Energy Inc.’s Sabine Pass terminal in Louisiana, U.S. shale gas will soon be exported.
Bloomberg reports that a fleet of tugboats first intended for natural gas imports seven years ago finally have a purpose: they will be used for U.S. liquid natural gas exports. U.S. shale drillers are producing 80 billion cubic feet of natural gas each day, so the country will likely become a key exporter.
The Energy Atlantic, a tanker that will transport the liquid natural gas, was expected to get to Sabine Pass Jan. 12.
