The constant decline that began in March for the U.S. oil and gas rig count has finally ended, according to Kallanish Energy.
Baker Hughes released the Aug. 21 rig count, showing the U.S. rig count grew by 10 from Aug. 14’s count. The number of working U.S. rigs jumped by 10 from 244 on Aug. 14 to 254 on Aug. 21.
The end of the decline is seen as a positive sign for the industry as rig counts are an indication of drilling activity and future wells.
