The Business Journal reports that a $272 million wastewater recycling plant planned for Doddridge County, West Virginia, will treat flowback water and allow it to be reused.

The recycling plant will be used in place of injection wells that permanently dispose of wastewater. Antero Resources Corp. expects to save as much as $150,000 per well for completion costs by recycling the wastewater.

Veolia Water Technologies Inc. and Veolia North America are designing the plant. It will treat 60,000 barrels of water per day. According to the newspaper, the plant will likely also produce salt and brine, which can be used in the industry for other processes.
