GasFrac Energy Services Inc., the Canada-based company that developed a method for waterless fracking, is selling most of its assets and technology in Ohio, according to Columbus Business First.

In January, GasFrac filed for protection from creditors. On March 3, the company announced that a deal was made an undisclosed oil and gas company for its assets and technology.

The waterless fracking method developed by the company used gelled propane instead of water. Operations began at GasFrac’s test well in Tuscarawas County in November 2014.
