After spewing natural gas for 10 days in Monroe County, a well has been capped, reports Akron Beacon Journal.
A contractor replaced the wellhead and therefore capped the Sardis, Ohio, well in the afternoon of Dec. 23. Residents in a 1.5-mile radius around the well were able to return to their homes
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will investigate the incident.
