According to the Philadelphia Energy Action Team, more pipelines will make the city an energy hub.
StateImpact Pennsylvania reports that the group, made up of business interests that are part of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, released a report March 30 that addresses how shale gas could revitalize Philadelphia’s economy, as well as the economy of the surrounding Delaware Valley.
A lack of pipeline infrastructure across Pennsylvania is one roadblock to getting Marcellus gas to Philadelphia. According to the source, the report’s intent is to promote the idea of Philadelphia as an energy hub to Pennsylvania’s state and local officials.
