12 shale drilling permits issued in Ohio, Pa., W. Va. for week ended May 21

Twelve new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia from May 15 to 21, according to Marcellus Drilling News.
Pennsylvania issued 10 new drilling permits during the time period. Coterra Energy received three permits to drill in Susquehanna County and Chesapeake Energy received three permits to drill in Bradford County.
Ohio issued two new permits from May 15 to 21. West Virginia didn’t issue any new permits during the same time period.
A week prior, from May 8 to 14, 26 new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
