13 shale drilling permits issued in Ohio, Pa., W. Va. during week ended Aug. 7

Thirteen new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia during the week ended Aug. 7, according to Marcellus Drilling News.

Pennsylvania issued seven new permits from Aug. 1-7. Range Resources received three permits to drill in Washington County. Southwestern Energy received three permits to drill in Susquehanna County.

Ohio issued one new drilling permit to Southwestern Energy to drill in Monroe County.

West Virginia issued five new drilling permits. Four of those permits went to Eat to drill in Wetzel County.
