18 shale drilling permits issued in Ohio, Pa., W. Va. for week ended April 30

Eighteen new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia from April 24 to 30, according to Marcellus Drilling News.
Pennsylvania issued eight new drilling permits during the time period. EQT received four of those permits to drill in Greene County.
West Virginia issued six new permits from April 24 to 30. All of those were issued to Antero Resources to drill in Tyler County.
Ohio issued four new permits during the same time period.
A week prior, from April 17 to 23, 25 new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
