20 shale drilling permits issued in Ohio, Pa., W. Va. for week ended June 11

Twenty new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia from June 5 to 11, according to Marcellus Drilling News.
Pennsylvania issued six new drilling permits during the time period. Chesapeake Energy received all of those permits to drill in two counties.
Ohio issued eight new drilling permits during the time period. Ascent Resources received all of those permits for drilling across three counties.
West Virginia issued six new drilling permits from June 5 to 11.
A week prior, from May 29 to June 4, 25 new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
