25 shale drilling permits issued in Ohio, Pa., W. Va. for week ended April 23

Twenty-five new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia from April 17 to 23, according to Marcellus Drilling News.

Pennsylvania issued 21 new drilling permits during the time period. Range Resources received seven of those permits to drill in Washington County. Greylock Energy received six permits to drill in Greene County.

Ohio and West Virginia each issued two new permits from April 17 to 23.

A week prior, from April 10 to 16, 20 new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
