30 shale drilling permits issued in Ohio, Pa., W. Va. for week ended March 12

Thirty new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia from March 6 to March 12, according to Marcellus Drilling News.
Pennsylvania issued 21 new drilling permits during the time period. EQT received seven permits for drilling in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Repsol received six drilling permits in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Chesapeake Energy also received five permits in Bradford County.
Ohio issued five new permits and West Virginia issued four new permits during the time period.
A week prior, from Feb. 27-March 5, 29 new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
