34 shale drilling permits issued in Ohio, Pa., W. Va. for week ended March 19

Thirty-four new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia from March 13 to March 19, according to Marcellus Drilling News.
Pennsylvania issued 24 new drilling permits during the time period. Chesapeake Energy received seven new permits in Bradford County, Sullivan County and Wyoming County, respectively. Range Resources received six permits to drill in Washington County.
Ohio issued four new permits and West Virginia issued six new permits during the time period.
A week prior, from March 6 to March 12, 30 new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
