38 shale drilling permits issued in Ohio, Pa., W. Va. from Dec. 19-Jan. 1

Thirty-eight new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia from Dec. 19 through Jan. 1, according to Marcellus Drilling News.
Pennsylvania issued 19 new permits during the two-week span. Ohio issued 7 new permits and West Virginia 12 new drilling permits during the time period.
During the week of Dec. 12 to Dec. 18, 32 new permits were issued to drill shale wells in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
