Appalachia, Haynesville to drive Lower 48 natural gas output next month

The Appalachian Basin and Haynesville Shale are expected to drive natural gas output growth from June to July, according to Natural Gas Intelligence.

The Appalachian and Haynesville regions should see output grow by 231 MMcf/d and 226 MMcf/d, respectively, month-over-month, the Energy Information Administration noted in its June Drilling Productivity Report.

The EIA also reported upstream trends for the Andarko and Permian Basins and Bakken, Eagle Ford and Niobrara formations. Output from the seven key U.S. onshore regions is expected to surge 781 MMcf/d higher to 92.282 Bcf/d from June to July.
