Earlier this week, Chemstream Oilfield Services announced its hydraulic fracturing friction reducer technology (StimSTREAM FR 9800) saved significant amounts of fracking chemicals for six natural gas producers in the Appalachian Basin, reaching up to a 40 percent decrease in FR usage, according to World Oil.

The results are the culmination of a year of work by Chemstream’s in-house research and development laboratory, and the successful deployment of the technology on multiple well stages and lateral evaluations.

As part of Chemstream’s business model, the chemical company is offering complimentary lab analysis from its oilfield laboratory along with no-cost stage evaluations to all new producers across the Marcellus and Utica shale play.
