More companies join coalition to reduce natural gas emissions

Nine oil and natural gas producers, utilities and pipeline and storage operators have joined Our Nation’s Energy Future, a coalition focused on reducing collective methane emissions to 1% or lower, in the last three months, according to Natural Gas Intelligence.

Our Nation’s Energy Future now has 45 members from the upstream, midstream and downstream escorts of the oil and gas industry.

Three exploration and production companies joined in April — BKV Corp., THQ Appalachia I LLC (THQA) and Jonah Energy LLC. Two new utility members have joined since March — Black Hills Corp. and DTE Energy. Three midstream companies have joined the effort with Western Midstream Partners getting on board in March, Blue River Midstream LLC joining in April and Targa Resources Corp. most recently joining in early May. Lastly, storage operator Enstor Gas LLC joined the coalition as of May 12.
