New York state’s denial of a Clean Water Act permit has killed any chance of the Constitution Pipeline meeting its construction deadline, scheduled for Dec. 2, 2018, according to Natural Gas Intelligence.

Constitution Pipeline Co. LLC has asked for construction of the project to be extended until Dec. 2, 2020.

When completed the 125-mile pipeline will carry Marcellus Shale gas from Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, interconnecting with the Iroquois Gas Transmission and Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) systems in Schoharie County, New York.
