Coterra Energy has emerged as its own entity from the Cabot Oil & Gas and Cimarex Energy merger, according to Pennsylvania Business Report.
The new company will be diverse, as Cimarex’s operations in the Permian and Anadarko basins combine with Cabot’s operations in the Marcellus Shale.
Coterra’s asset base includes over 700,000 net acres across the Marcellus Shale and Permian and Anadarko Basins. Additionally, it has a combined production base of approximately 605 MBoepd.
