The public has another resource to consult about oil and natural gas production, Houston Chronicle reports.
The Drillinginfo index is made up of data gathered from multiple sources. The data is used by investment banks and stock traders to determine where to invest. Updated monthly, the index shows oil and gas data for the continental United States and compares values to the previous month.
The index features new overall U.S. production numbers, which is then broken down into new oil and new natural gas production. A map of new wells and a map of new production are also included, as well as statistics for the month’s top 10 producers of oil and natural gas and the top 10 counties for oil and natural gas production nationwide.
