The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission recently granted Dominion Energy permission to begin construction of the actual pipeline for the Atlantic Coast Pipeline project in West Virginia, according to Marcellus Drilling News.
The Atlantic Coast Pipeline is estimated to cost $6.5 billion, which is up from the original projection of $5 billion caused by delays from regulatory agencies and lawsuits.
The $6.5 billion natural gas pipeline will run from West Virginia through Virginia into North Carolina.
