According to the Energy Information Administration’s monthly Drilling Productivity Report, the volume of natural gas produced from the seven major plays in the Lower 48 states of the United States is projected to rise 1.7 percent from June to July, according to Kallanish Energy.
The EIA projects daily gas production to jump by nearly 1.14 billion cubic feet per day to 69.76 Bcf/d from June to July with all seven of the major plays seeing an increase in gas production. The Marcellus and Utica Shale plays are leading the charge, projected to jump 371 million cubic feet per day.
Total Appalachian production will rise to 28.91 Bcf/d, from 28.54 Bcf/d, the DPR projects.
