Recent data from the Energy Information shows U.S. ethane production is forecast to grow by about 9% during the second half of the year, according to Natural Gas Intelligence.
The EIA analysis reported domestic ethane production has been on the rise for the past five years, reaching a monthly record of 2.5 million b/d in March and holding above 2.4 million b/d every month since then.
The latest Short-Term Energy Outlook projected that average ethane production during the second half of 2022 would surpass 2.6 million b/d.
