U.S. petroleum product exports averaged nearly 6 million b/d, recording the largest first-half export quantity in the history of the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s Petroleum Supply Monthly data, according to Oil & Gas Journal.

U.S. petroleum product exports grew by 11% year-over-year at 596,000 b/d in first half of 2022. The increase is the fastest growth rate for the first half of the year since 2017.

Exports of almost all petroleum products contributed to the growth. The largest volumes came from distillate fuel oils and hydrocarbon gas liquids, including propane.
