U.S. natural gas production is set to rise 748 MMcf/d month/month to just over 93 Bcf/d from seven major onshore regions in August, according to the Energy Information Administration’s July Drilling Productivity Report.
The Haynesville Shale is expected to see the most output growth month-over-month in August with a projected increase of 217 MMcf/d, according to Natural Gas Intelligence. It is followed by the Appalachian Basin with 207 MMcf/d in projected gains from July to August.
Increases in natural gas output are also expected from the Bakken (plus 31 MMcf/d), Eagle Ford (plus 129 MMcf/d), Niobrara (plus 10 MMcf/d) and Permian (plus 166 MMcf/d) between July and August.
