Energy Transfer announced the completion of its Mariner East pipeline network on Wednesday during its fourth-quarter earnings report, stating construction work was completed this month, according to The Kansas City Star.

Although the company has and still does face criminal charges and fines over the construction of its pipeline network, the operational portion of the Mariner East network transported a growing volume of natural gas liquids last year, up nearly 10% over 2020. Total capacity is projected at 350,000 to 375,000 barrels per day with the final phase now complete.

Energy Transfer said it is preparing to put the newest pipeline into service in the recent earnings call.

The Mariner East pipeline network, which includes the Mariner East 1, Mariner East 2 and Mariner East 2X pipelines, is designed to carry propane, ethane and butane from the Marcellus Shale and Utica Shale gas fields to a refinery processing center and export terminal in Marcus Hook.
