EQT Midstream Partners recently announced a $1.69 billion deal to buy Utica Shale gathering pipelines in Belmont and Monroe counties, according to the Massillon Independent.
For the Olympus Gathering System and a 75 percent share of Strike Force Midstream, EQT Midstream will pay $1.15 billion and 5.9 million common stock shares to its parent company, EQT Corporation. EQT Midstream will also pay $175 million to Oklahoma City-based Gulfport Energy for its 25 percent share of Strike Force Midstream.
EQT Midstream’s recent purchase of Ohio assets should close Tuesday. The company also announced plans to merge with Pittsburgh-based Rice Midstream Partners in a deal valued at $2.4 billion that is expected to close Sept. 1.
