The International Energy Agency (IEA) says that global oil supply may exceed consumption by 1.75 million barrels per day in the first half of the year, up from a previous estimate of 1.5 million barrels per day.
Bloomberg reports that this could contribute to even lower prices, especially if OPEC members continue to increase production.
After international sanctions were lifted last month, Iran increased production. Iraq and Saudi Arabia increased production as well. According to the source, non-OPEC production will decrease by 600,000 barrels a day during 2016.
