More exports expected in September from Marcellus and Utica

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette PowerSource reports that while natural gas production will likely slow down during September, Marcellus and Utica Shale drillers will export excess supply out of the region.

Marcellus Shale gas mostly goes to the Midwest, Southeast and to Canada. Liquified natural gas (LNG) exports will increase as projects are completed to ship the gas to new markets. Once pipelines are in place, gas will be sent to Mexico.

Between August and September, Marcellus Shale production is predicted to drop 60 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
