ExonnMobil’s CEO, Rex Tillerson, has been an outspoken proponent of fracking because it’s, well, his job. As the head of one of the countries most active oil and gas drillers, he’s come out against regulations saying that regulations hold back the American economic recovery. Now, however, Tillerson is pushing back against the very thing that he’s cheered for.

According to Forbes, Tillerson has joined a lawsuit seeking to shut down a fracking project near his home in Texas.

The project is a water tower that would provide water to various fracking wells.

From the Wallstreet Journal:

“He and his neighbors had filed suit to block the tower, saying it is illegal and would create “a noise nuisance and traffic hazards,” in part because it would provide water for use in hydraulic fracturing. Fracking, which requires heavy trucks to haul and pump massive amounts of water, unlocks oil and gas from dense rock and has helped touch off a surge in U.S. energy output.”
