Site work is taking place and a building permit is pending with New Sewickley Township for a compressor station, according to The Beaver County Times.
Cardinal PA Midstream is proposing to build the Pike Compressor Station in New Sewickley Township in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Township supervisors approved a conditional-use permit for the company, and in February, Beaver County President Judge John McBride upheld that conditional-use permit.
Don and Becky Kretschmann, owners of an organic farm in New Sewickley Township, say that the land is threatened by the development of compressor station. The couple is planning to appeal the permit. The Kretschmanns say that township leaders ignored objections to the compressor station, while McBride argues that the board considered environmental impacts of the compressor station.
