The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission recently released a new environmental statement on Equitrans Midstream Corp.’s $6.2 billion Mountain Valley Pipeline, with the recommendation that there won’t be a significant impact to human life in light of the amended construction process, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.

The company had been told to revise its plans to lessen environmental impacts, specifically in regards to water crossings before it would be able to obtain the necessary approval to finish construction on the project.

In light of the changes, the FERC stated, in a document with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, that the revised construction plan would lead to fewer direct impacts, but there would be added noise and emissions that are not expected to be significant in the long run.
