Jim Aslanides, a former state representative from Coshocton was selected as the new president of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association, according to the Times Recorder.
Aslanides, who is best known for being the chief architect of Ohio’s 2004 concealed carry law, started his two-year term on Dec. 15. He brings experience from serving in the statehouse, representing Zanesville, Coshocton and the surrounding communities from 1999 to 2009. Additionally, he has owned an oil and gas business since 1981 and been a longtime member of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association.
He replaces David Hill, the owner of a Byesville-based oil and gas business.
