Gas prices under $1 in Michigan over the weekend

In Houghton Lake, Michigan, gas prices fell below the $1 mark at several stations over the weekend. Prices as low as 78 cents a gallon were seen.

Prices for Houghton Lake on GasBuddy.com were back above $1 as of the morning of Jan 18, 2016.

WXYZ reports that the average self-serve unleaded gas price in Michigan was $1.74 per gallon on Jan. 17.
