A new partnership in Ohio’s Utica Shale will allow the region’s midstream system to grow.

Oil and Gas Investor reports that Rice Energy Inc.’s subsidiary, Rice Midstream Holdings LLC, has joined Gulfport Energy Corp. in a joint venture (JV). A dry gas gathering system, a gas gathering pipeline and a freshwater distribution system will be included in the JV.

Gulfport has dry gas assets in Ohio’s Belmont and Monroe counties.
