A lifetime of involvement finally led Kyle Mork right to the top of Energy Corporation of America. Taking over for his father, Mork accepted the position of CEO on Sept. 26, according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail.
After graduating from Cornell University in 2002 with a chemical engineering degree, Mork accepted a job at oil field services company Halliburton. He accepted his first job with ECA as a drilling engineer at its Houston location in 2004.
More eventually transitioned to ECA headquarters in Charleston, W. Va., and served in various operations and management roles, including vice president, senior vice president, chief operating officer and president.
One of Mork’s greatest contributions to this point has been helping the company transition from a shallow well conventional operator to an unconventional developer.
