A rail and pipeline facility located in Hannibal, Ohio, recently received a $20 million federal grant to make improvements, according to North American Shale.
The United States Department of Transportation awarded the grant to Long Ridge Energy Terminal to construct a pipeline-to-rail transloading facility that will include truck racks and ladder racks connected to a recently constructed loop track.
Long Ridge Energy Terminal is located in the heart of the Marcellus and Utica shale gas plays. It generates power, stores natural gas liquids and brings in frack sand. In addition to rails, the facility includes two barge docks on the Ohio River.
