Infrastructure is finally catching up to production in Ohio’s Utica shale region. if approved, various pipeline projects would increase the area’s capacity to transport its product to natural gas markets, according to Farm and Dairy.
Over the last decade, natural gas in the Appalachian basin from both the Marcellus and Utica shales has grown significantly. The new projects have the potential to increase takeaway capacity out of the Utica region by up to 6.8 billion cubic feet per day by the end of 2018.
