For Northeast Ohio customers enrolled in Dominion East Ohio’s Standard Choice Offer, natural gas will be at its lowest since 1980.

According to The Plain Dealer, this month’s price is $2.05 per 1,000 cubic feet (Mcf). This price will continue until Dec. 10. Compared to November 2014, this price is about half of what it was a year ago.

For Columbia Gas of Ohio customers, natural gas will cost $3.32 Mcf. This is due to the supply glut, which has kept gas from getting to Columbia’s pipelines.
