Ohio, Pa., W. Va. issue a combined 30 new permits during the week ended Dec. 12

Thirty new oil and gas drilling permits were issued in the shale fields of Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia during the week ended Dec. 12, according to Marcellus Drilling News.

Pennsylvania issued 19 new drilling permits — nine to Chesapeake Appalachia LLC, four to EQT, four to Range Resources and two to Apex Energy.

Ohio issued two permits to Diversified Production LLC, a subsidiary of Alliance Petroleum, and one to EOG Resources Inc.

West Virginia issued eight permits. Tribune Resources LLC received five new permits. Tug Hill Operating LLC, Antero Resources Corporation and Jay-Bee Oil & Gas Inc each received one new permit.
