What could be Pennsylvania’s first carbon capture storage project has won the support of 12 global oil and natural gas firms, according to Natural Gas Intelligence.

The project would drill for and produce gas from the Marcellus Shale, manufacture chemicals and store carbon dioxide underground. The 7,000-acre site’s CO2 storage capacity would be up to 300,000 tons/year.
