Pa. DEP issues Shell technical deficiency letters

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection recently issued three technical deficiency letters to Shell Pipeline Co. regarding several environmental concerns related to the permitting process of the Falcon Pipeline, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.

The Falcon Pipeline will be part of the infrastructure associated with Shell’s ethane cracker facility, which is currently under construction in Potter Township.

Shell released its own statement, reinforcing its commitment to addressing the DEP’s concerns before the 60-day deadline.
