Leaders of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute, Independent Oil and Gas Association and Manufacturers Association agree that the state needs to move forward with the construction of numerous pipeline infrastructure projects, according to the Observer-Reporter.
The completion and implementation of the various projects would enhance manufacturing, create jobs and contribute to America’s energy independence and its clean power initiatives, according to the trio.
In Pennsylvania, there are currently 16,000 miles of gas pipelines already in place across the state. The demand of additional pipelines has increased with as natural gas production has increased from 1 billion cubic feet in 2010 to 13 bcf currently.
