Are you as a landowner receiving royalty checks and not fully understanding how the current trends and production figures mesh with your royalty payments?  Do you have questions on how to interpret the information provided on your royalty stubs?  Are you questioning how to manage your resources and invest wisely?

Penn State Extension’s ‘Shale Royalties Management’ workshop will help to answer these questions and more. Expert speakers, Dan Brockett, Shale Team Educator, Penn State Extension, Andrew Gans, CFP®, CFA®, Rockcliff Capital LLC, and Steve Feldbauer, JD, Urish Popeck & Co., LLC will provide a comprehensive program to help royalty owners understand how current drilling production and utilization trends can affect their royalties. The team will also provide great insight for landowners on the basin trends specific to Greene County, natural gas liquids and potential royalty deductions, reading your royalty statement, items that affect royalty payments, tax implications and effectively managing your resources.

This workshop is a must for landowners who are receiving royalty payments or are involved in an active unit of the shale play and seek a better understanding of how their royalty payments are calculated and other factors considered in the determination of payment.

Two separate but same workshops will be held on May 23 at the Carmichaels & Cumberland Township Volunteer Fire Company, 420 W. George St., Carmichaels, Pa.  The first session will be 1 to 4 p.m. and the second session from 6 to 9 p.m.

Due to the generosity of sponsors, Rockcliff Capital LLC and Urish Popeck & Co., LLC, the program is offered free of charge. However, seating is limited and pre-registration is required online at https://extension.psu.edu/shale-royalties-management-workshop-for-landowners  or by calling 1-877-345-0691.
