Permitting rose 8% month-over-month in February, however, decreased from the same time period a year prior, according to Natural Gas Intelligence.
Evercore data reported 2,929 permits issued in February, which was an increase of 211 permits from January. However, the numbers were down 8.8% from February 2022.
In the Marcellus Shale, permitting rose by 199 permits, increasing 151%. The Marcellus Shale accounted for 7% of all permits issued last month.
