Last month the Pipeline Investment Program announced it’s offering up to $24 million in grant funding to help Pennsylvania’s business, hospitals, schools and municipalities use natural gas, according to PennState Extension.
The new program is supported by the Pennsylvania Alternative Energy Investment Act, which has been underutilized. It offers up to $1 million for pipeline project expenses.
Applicants are being asked to match funds equal to at least 50 percent of the total project costs. Eligible entities include businesses, economic development organizations, hospitals, municipalities and school districts.

This news should be classified as yet another ripoff to PA taxpayers as those funds were originally intended for renewables. Unless money is invested in renewable stabilization, we PA residents will continue to be fracked and will suffer consequences from yet another fossil fuel industry. For those who are unaware, fossil fuels get their millions in subsidization every year so don’t be pushing any nonsense about the failure of renewables and cost involved.
