In less than a month, Americans will chose it’s next president. Will it be Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?

For those still on the fence, one thing to consider is how you align with each candidate on their energy policies.

Trump is encouraging the U.S. to become energy independent by increasing domestic oil production to nearly 15 million barrels per day, according to the Standard Times. Trump views oil production as a way to create jobs, pay taxes, build the economy and avoid importing oil.

Clinton, on the other hand, has shown her support for increasing wind and solar power through policies that restrict the consumption and production of fossil fuels. Clinton’s vision is to reduce greenhouse gasses by relying less on coal and oil and using natural gas to facilitate the increase of wind and solar power.
