Reliable One Resources purchases disposal well facility in Ohio

Reliable One Resources recently purchased an operating water disposal injection facility in Athens County, Ohio, according to NewMediaWire.
The company will inherit the facility’s current contracts with oil and gas producers and water haulers in the Marcellus Shale region and operations at the facility will be maintained throughout the ownership change.
Reliable One’s plans for the facility include expanding water storage with the installation of additional tanks to increase capacity by 30 percent and drilling a second well to allow for even faster processing of incoming water supplies.
The purchase was made by Reliable One’s wholly-owned Reliable Enterprises, Inc. subsidiary, which does business in the state as Reliable Enterprises Ohio, Inc.

What is fracking?

In Pennsylvania officials fined Chesapeake Energy $1 million for contaminating ground water with methane. It was determined that the company had not properly cemented it’s boreholes and gas migrated up the well, between rock and into aquifers.
